A lodged tax return can be amended, there is a time limit on doing it and a second opinion costs nothing. Untax exists to tell people that and to connect them with a registered tax agent who can act on it.
What Untax is, and what it is not.
Untax is an Australian marketing and referral brand, operated by My Money Mentors Pty Ltd ABN 63 683 148 843. We advertise the review, take your enquiry and refer you to an independent registered tax agent in the Untax network.
We are not a tax agent and we do not give tax advice. We do not review returns, we do not prepare amendments and we do not lodge anything with the ATO.
Every review is carried out by an independent registered tax agent. You enter into your own engagement with that agent, on their terms and they are responsible for the advice they give and the work they do. The agent discloses their Tax Practitioners Board registration to you before you engage them and you can verify any registration on the TPB public register.
How we get paid
We receive a referral fee from the tax agent where a referral leads to a completed engagement. That arrangement is disclosed here, in our terms and in the agent's engagement documents. It does not add anything to what you pay.

Is this a scam?
It is a fair question in a category that sounds like free money. Amending a lodged tax return is an ordinary, legislated process that any registered tax agent can do. What Untax does is find people who did not know it was an option and connect them with an agent. The agent's registration is disclosed to you and is public, so you can verify it on the Tax Practitioners Board register before you hand over anything.
Who actually does the work?
An independent registered tax agent in the Untax network. Untax is a marketing and referral service. We are not a tax agent and we do not provide tax advice. The agent you are referred to depends on where you are and what your return needs and they disclose their registration to you directly.
What happens to my information?
We collect the details you give us so we can contact you and refer you to a registered tax agent and we handle them under the Australian Privacy Principles. The detail is in our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
